Gabriel Mirza Wins Gold in World Arm Wrestling Championship
RUMIA, POLAND – Gabriel Mirza won the arm wrestling world title for the under 18 left-hand division at the World Arm Wrestling Championship 2019 in Rumia, Poland on 3-6 December. He also won the silver medal in the under 21 right-hand division.
Gabriel Mirza is a Syriac from Mjölby, Sweden and participated in the Swedish national arm wrestling competition in Helsingborg in March 2019 where he won the gold medal. In May 2019, he won gold and silver in the national competition in Flenn.
Gabriel Mirza was born in Qamishli, Syria and emigrated to Sweden in 2014. He has been arm wrestling competitively in Sweden for over a year. He joined the Xininge wrestling club only a couple of months ago and now trains at the national training facility of Sweden.
