BREAKING: Massive 6.8 magnitude hits southeast Turkey

ELAZIĞ, Turkey – A massive 6.8 earthquake hit near Elazığ and Malatya in southeast Turkey on Friday night. The tremor could be felt throughout the region, with people reporting to have felt it Syria, Iraq, and Israel. Footage of the destruction has begun to emerge showing collapsed buildings and rubble in the streets.

The Interior Minister said 4 people have been confirmed dead. However, given the level of destruction, that number is likely to rise.
