Delegation from Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria visits Bethnahrain Patriotic Union office in Erbil

ERBIL, Iraq – On Monday evening, a delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAA) visited the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union at its headquarters in Ankawa, Erbil in northern Iraq. The delegation was headed by Mrs. Siham Quryo, Co-Chair of the General Council of the DAA, and included the Chairperson of the Women’s Authority of the DAA, Jihan Khadrou, and the Co-Chair of the Qamishli District, Bruin Yusuf.

The visiting delegation was received by the head of the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union, Yusef Yaqoub Matti. During the meeting, they discussed the experience of the DAA in promoting cooperation between the regions various peoples and groups, the DAA’s successes and failures in this aim, the challenges encountered, and the effect of the Turkish invasion on social cohesion. The meeting was attended by the former head of the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union, Mr. Sabah Michael Barkho.
