Turkish bombardment continues around Tel Tamr; electric lines cut in previous shelling repaired
TEL TAMR – Turkish occupation forces continue to bombard and probe Syriac Military Council (MFS) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions along the Tel Abyad and Tel Tamr fronts.
On Friday, attacks were launched against SDF positions in the village of Jalabiyah in the western Tel Abyad countryside. The attacks were repelled, with six members of the Turkish occupation forces killed. There were no reported casualties among the SDF. A number of weapons, ammunition, and the identity documents of one of the attackers was seized.
On the same day, the cement factory at Qalji Qiran Tahtani was targeted with artillery. The SDF reported no casualties.
On the Tel Tamr front, a number of attacks by the Turkish occupation forces were repelled by the Syriac Military Council (MFS) and the newly formed Tel Tamr Military Council. Six members of the Tel Tamr Military Council were killed in the fighting.
Earlier shelling on Wednesday cut the power lines in the village of Timar (Umm al-Keif) that service Tel Tamr. The town remained without power until Saturday, when maintenance teams, under the protection of a Russian forces, managed to repair the damage. The maintenance teams had attempted to repair the power lines on Friday but were prevented from doing so by the Turkish occupation forces.
Today, villages west and north of Tal Tamr, including Timar, were again shelled by the Turkish occupation forces.
