Rep. Ralph Abraham: I’m astonished about development in NE Syria, despite the war

RAQQA, Syria – U.S. Congressman Ralph Abraham (R-LA) and a delegation of his staff visited the headquarters of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAA) in Raqqa and held a closed meeting with the Co-Presidents of the Executive Council of the DAA, Berivan Khalid and Abd Hamid al-Mahbash.

Rep. Abraham made a brief statement to the media after the meeting. “I’m here to support the administration of North and East Syria,” said Rep. Abraham. I am surprised by the progress that has taken place in Raqqa where the city has prospered from the ashes and continues to progress as the sun rises every day.”

“As a member of Congress,” added Rep. Abraham, “I will deliver this message to all the other members of Congress, Vice President Mike Pence, and President Trump, on all the great things that are happening and continue to happen, here in Raqqa and Northeast Syria.”
