Russian military police deployed to frontline town Saraqib in southern Idlib
SARAQIB, Idlib – News outlet Russia Today has reported that the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria announced, in an interview to reporters on Monday, the deployment of the Russian military police in the town of Saraqib in southern Idlib Governorate to ensure the security and safety of vehicles and civilians along the M4 and M5 highways.
Western sources monitoring military aircraft movement reported that a plane launched from a Russian military airport in Ossetia, Russia and continued its flight to Syria, returning to Russia on the same day.
It was also reported that two Russian military aircraft crossed into Turkish airspace on Sunday, without any hindrance, heading to Hmeimim air base near Latakia, Syria.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) now completely controlled the town of Saraqib after briefly losing the town to Turkish-backed rebels. The strategic town, situated along the M5 highway, was recaptured yesterday after the successful completion of an SAA military operation conducted with heavy Russian air support.
