SYRIA: Delegation from the Syriac Union Party visits Assyrian Democratic Organization headquarters

QAMISHLI, Syria – A delegation from the Syriac Union Party (SUP) of Syria consisting of party Co-Chair Sanharib Barsoum and member of the Executive Committee Mr. Joseph Lahdo visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Democratic Organization (ADO) in Qamishli on Sunday where they were greeted by ADO President Mr. Daoud Daoud and party officials Mr. Gabriel Moshe Gawrieh and Mr. Kuryiakos Kourya.

The two parties discussed the latest political and military developments in North and East Syria and Syria more broadly.

The paths to a political solution in Syria, particularly the subject of the Constitution Committee and the guaranteeing of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian rights and aspirations were also discussed.

The two sides discussed the importance of joint coordination between all the parties of the Syriac people in Syria to ensure their full rights and continued existence in the region.
