World coronavirus cases approach one million
BALTIMORE, U.S. / WASHINGTON – Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University announced on Thursday that the death toll of the novel coronavirus COVID-19 in the United States now exceeds 5,000 and the number of known confirmed cases is approaching 213,000 cases.
On Wednesday, Washington called on all American citizens abroad to return as soon as possible before the global situation worsens.
COVID-19 infection cases all over the world have now surpassed 950,000. The total number of confirmed cases is expected to soon exceed one million, with the U.S. topping the list of the infected countries.
