SYRIA: Turkish artillery targets Tel Tamr villages after Syrian Democratic Forces capture four of its proxy fighters

TEL TAMR and TEL RIFAAT, Syria – The villages of Manakh and Timar (Umm al-Keif), which are under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) presence in some areas, have witnessed further rocket attacks carried out by Turkish occupation forces and factions of Syrian National Army (SNA). The rockets caused property damage to civilian areas. There was no available information on casualties.

The SNA, is a collection of militias, including several espousing Islamist ideologies, formed and funded by Turkey.

The rocket bombardment followed an operation carried out by the SDF on the area between Timar and Dardara in Tel Tamr countryside, during which they managed to capture four members of the SNA.

The majority of the residents of Tel Tamr’s villages were forced to flee on 2 April amidst intense artillery bombardment by Turkey and the SNA. Two members of the SAA were killed and at least seven others wounded during the attack.

In the Aleppo countryside, the Turkish occupation and its proxy forces targeted two villages outside the town of Tel Rifaat with artillery. No information was available on casualties.
