Paris, France – French police said that two policemen were seriously injured on Monday in a deliberate car hit in the Coulomb suburb of Paris. According to the public prosecutor’s office, two policemen were checking the documents of a car driver when a black car coming from the opposite traffic direction changed lanes to hit the two policemen. The prosecutor’s office said that police investigators found a knife and a letter inside the car that hit the policemen. The letter explained the driver’s motives, but the prosecutor didn’t give further details.
According to French police, the detainee told the police after his arrest that “the motive behind the attack of the two policemen was revenge for the situation in Palestine.” A security source indicated that the bomber was a 29-year-old French national and is not on the wanted list of French intelligence services.
