SYRIA: Two ISIS members arrested in Raqqa, another killed in Deir ez-Zor
RAQQA and DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria – On Sunday, the Anti-Terror Units (YAT) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested two Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in Raqqa. Meanwhile, the Internal Security Forces (ISF) of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria killed an ISIS terrorist in Deir ez-Zor.
In the northern Syrian city of Raqqa, the YAT arrested two ISIS members in separate operations. The terrorists were a father and his son who had been in two different houses. The men were surveilled, arrested, and transferred to prison. Equipment associated with their ISIS activity was confiscated from their homes.
In Deir ez-Zor, three ISIS terrorists attacked a checkpoint of the ISF in the village of Deman in the town of Al-Buseira, in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, south of the Al-Omar oil field. During the attack, two ISF members were stabbed. During the brief encounter, the ISF killed on ISIS member. The two others managed to escape.
