RMELAN, Syria – A violent explosion rocked the city of Rmelan in North and East Syria on Sunday evening after an ammunition depo ignited for unknown reasons. As of Monday morning, it is unclear if there were any casualties.
However, Russia Today reported that the massive explosion resulted in several injuries among the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and “the loss of live”.
Secondary explosions continued throughout the night.
The SDF have imposed a curfew on the entire town in conjunction with the low-altitude flight of U.S. warplanes from Kharab al-Jir airport.
The ammunition depo is located in the industrial zone of the town.
