Turkish forces violating international agreements, continue shelling villages of Tel Abyad, Rish Ayno, and Tel Tamr
TEL ABYAD, Syria – Turkish forces and Turkish-backed factions of the Syrian National Army (SNA) occupying North and East Syria continue to violate international agreements aimed at stopping military operations due to coronavirus pandemic. On Wednesday, factions of the SNA once again targeted civilian homes in the Tel Abyad countryside with artillery.
Local sources reported that the Turkish-backed factions of the SNA targeted civilian homes in the villages of Kur Hassan and Khirbet Baqr in the western Tel Abyad countryside with heavy weapons and artillery in flagrant violation of international agreements calling for a cease-fire.
Villages in the vicinity of Ayn Issa, Tel Abyad, Tel Tamr, and Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn) have been subjected to near daily shelling by Turkish and Turkish-backed forces.
