SYRIA: Young Syriac woman dies due to medical error in Safita city
SAFITA, Syria — A young Syriac woman, Lilian Frej Makdisi, died as a result of an anesthetic overdose before a nasal surgery in a hospital in Tartus Governorate.
On Wednesday morning, the 25-year-old lost her life as a result of a medical error.
Lilian was reportedly lively and did not have any symptoms of illness.
An investigation has been opened to determine if negligence played a role in Lilian’s death.
Lilian was from the city of Safita, in Tartus Governorate.
Recently, cases of medical error or an overdose have increased.
