Kurdistan Regional Parliament requests special session to discuss Turkish and Iranian attacks
ANKAWA, Iraq — The Kurdistan Regional Parliament in Iraq seeks special session to discuss ongoing Turkish and Iranian attacks on the region.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) did not respond to the request of Parliament, made in the presence of the Peshmerga and the Interior Ministers, to hold a special session.
This comes after the Parliament earlier formed committees to follow up the situation of the areas that were recently targeted and prepared reports to be read at the planned session.
Some representatives stated that Parliament is not playing its required role regarding the attacks on the territory.
These attacks targeted several Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian villages, including Kani Masi village, which led to the displacement of the residents, in addition to casualties and material losses.
