New group of displaced people from Deir ez-Zor return to their homes

HASAKAH, Syria — Displaced people from various parts of North and East Syria continue to return to their homes following restored stability and security.

The Deir ex-Zor Civil Council issued a statement announcing that a group of 151 displaced people from 40 families residing in Al-Hol Refugee Camp had returned to their homes.

The Council noted that this was in coordination with the Public Relations Office of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council and the administration of Al-Hol camp.

The Council said that the families set off collectively from Al-Hol camp with the Public Relations Office who transported them to their families in the city of Sour.

On 20 July, the camp administration allowed 363 displaced persons from 17 families to return to the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

On 22 January, another 385 people from 109 families marched towards the areas of Al-Baseera, Ziban, Hajin, and Baghuz in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
