Turkey continues to recruit Syrians to wage war in Libya
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that hundreds of Turkish-funded Syrian mercenaries recently arrived in Libyan territory to support the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA). A number of jihadists of unknown nationalities were supposedly among the mercenaries.
Approximately 6,000 fighters have returned to Syrian territory after the completion of their contracts since Turkey began sending mercenaries to Libya.
According to SOHR, the number of recruits who have gone to Libya so far has reached 17,000, including 350 children under the age of 18, while Turkey continues to bring more members of its Syrian-proxies into its camps to train and send them to fight.
An estimated 10,000 jihadists arriving in Libya, including 2,500 with Tunisian nationality.
Some 481 fighters, including 34 children under the age of 18, have been killed so far in Libya.
