Chaldean Church mourns death of Father Salah Hadi Khaddur from coronavirus

BAGHDAD — Patriarch of the Chaldean Church, Louis Raphaël I Sako and the Patriarchate’s family of bishops, priests, deacons, monks, nuns, and believers, mourned the death of Father Salah Hadi Khaddur, priest of the Chaldean Diocese of Baghdad and Patriarchate archivist, from the coronavirus.

Father Khaddur was 63 years old.

Patriarch Sako previously announced that his assistants, Bishop Basilius Yaldo and Archbishop Robert Gerges were infected with the coronavirus, along with three of the sisters working in the Patriarchate.

The infected members of the Patriarchate are currently under quarantine.
