Syriac Military Council: “Fighter ‘Malki’ elevated to Martyrdom”

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The General Command of the Syriac Military Council (MFS) today announced the martyrdom of one of its members, Alaa Abdullahad, nom de guerre Malki, due to illness. The MFS praised the greatness of martyrdom and the sacrifices made by its martyrs for the liberation of Beth Nahrin, oppressed peoples, and the continuation of a Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian presence in their homeland.

Martyr Alaa Abdullahad was from the city of Dayrik (Al-Malikiyah) and joined the ranks of the MFS in 2017. He fought with dedication and sincerity on behalf of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people and all communities of North and East Syria against the Islamic State and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) — a collection of militias, including several espousing Islamist ideologies, formed and funded by Turkey — who invade Tel Abyad and Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn) in October 2019 emptying many of the Assyrian villages of the Khabur River Valley.

The MFS statement stated that his service is the true embodiment of sacrifice.
