QABRE HEWORE, Syria — As part of the first quarter 2020 projects that were developed as part of its annual plan, delayed by the outbreak of the coronavirus, the People’s Municipality of Qabre Hewore (Al-Qahtaniyah) in North and East Syria has begun implementing several service projects under contract with Zagros Road and Construction Company and other contractors.

The municipality recently completed a sewage project for a number of streets of the town as well as the paving and spreading of gravel for several others.

The Parks and Environment Department of Qabre Hewore received 37 garbage collection containers to be placed along the town’s roads and streets to help improve public sanitation and preserve the town’s beauty. According to officials, the initiative is to prevent the dumping of garbage and waste by households and shopkeepers in the market area.
