SYRIA: Iranian Cultural Center in Dayro Zcuro holds Persian language courses
DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — Iranian militias stationed in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor) in eastern Syria have established an Iranian Cultural Center in Al-Mayadeen.
The center has been holding activities targeting children with the aim of establishing positive ideas about Iran in the areas under Syrian regime control.
For example, on 15 September, the center held Persian language courses targeting primary school students.
Earlier this month, demonstrations took place in the areas of Al-Ezbeh and Al-Maizilah, north of Dayro Zcuro, demanding the withdrawal of Syrian, Russian, and Iranian forces from their towns and villages west of the Euphrates River so they can return to their homes.
The demonstrators carried banners which read “No retreat from our demands” and “Why doesn’t the Coalition respond to our demonstrations?”
The demonstrators called on the international community to intervene to expel the Syrian, Russian, and Iranian forces.
