We find this word in “gnoun shouvho” or in “gnoun hadouto” in many Christian Syriac books. It refers to the bridal bed, in this case that of Christ. It is not possible today to fully understand the meaning of all these Lebanese words, nor the history and the culture behind them if we do not learn Syriac. That is why, learning Syriac language is essential in our Levantine Christian society.
