LEBANON: USUP President Ibrahim Mrad phones U.S. President Trump, wishes him speedy recovery

BEIRUT — President of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) Ibrahim Mrad telephoned the Office of U.S. President Donald Trump to check on his health after he was recently confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus.

During the phone call, Mrad wished Trump a speedy recovery.

President Trump spent the last two days in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center which houses a hospital suite reserved for presidents of the U.S.

He has since returned to the White House despite continued questions of his health.

“It can go in a lot of different directions,” Robert Wachter, chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, told BuzzFeed News.

“For the next few days, I’d want him 50 feet away from an ICU, not a helicopter ride,” Wachter said.
