North and East Syria Administration reopens all border crossings except crossing with Kurdistan Region of Iraq
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On Sunday, the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria issued a decision reopening border crossings starting 12 October 2020.
The DAA has repeatedly closed the crossings to passenger traffic since March as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the coronavirus in the region.
The new decision excludes the Semalka Border Crossing which connects North and East Syria and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, which remains closed until further notice.
