Syriac Cultural Association participates in 4th Osman Sebrî Writing Festival in Zalin in North and East Syria
ZALIN, Syria — On Sunday, the 4th Osman Sebrî Writing Festival was held in Zalin (Qamishli) in North and East Syria at Madinat al-Shabab Hall.
Many poets, writers, and cultural associations from various backgrounds participated in the festival and presented a series of poetic and literary works including short stories and theatrical works.
Member of the Syriac Cultural Association in Syria Jalinos Eissa recited an original Syriac poem entitled, “Freedom of Women”.
Eissa concluded by saying that these cultural events contribute to highlighting the cultural and intellectual output of the region’s diverse population and stressed the need to hold such activities and increase the participation of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people.
