North and East Syria administrators tour Dayro Zcuro following announcement of efforts to reconstruct region
DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — A delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East of Syria toured several areas in the eastern countryside of Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor) on Wednesday to inspect the quality of service provision in the region.
The visiting delegation was headed by Joseph Lahdo (Syriac Union Party, SUP) — Co-Chair of the Municipal and Environment Directorate and Salman Barodo — Co-Chair of the Economic and Agriculture Directorate and toured Hajin, Kashkya, Al-Marashdeh, and Baguz.
The visit comes shortly after the DAA announced the start of service projects in the region, including the construction of hospitals in Hajin and Abu Hammam.
The delegation expressed its “support for other service projects in the region as its infrastructure was hit particularly hard during the war” against the Islamic State.
The U.S.-led International Coalition has pledged to continue its support for the region, the Dayro Zcuro Civil Council, and the DAA.
