ZALIN (QAMISHLI), Syria – Within the framework of the Democratic Autonomous Administration’s (DAA) program of visiting all its regions and districts to closely identify the issues citizens and DAA institutions face, Co-Presidents of the Executive Council of the Gozarto (Jazira) Region Talaat Younes and Nazira Goreya (Syriac Union Party), held a dialogue and consultation meeting in Arab-Kurdish mixed al-Jawadiyah district.

On the table for discussion, dialogue, and Q&A were the delivery of public services like water and electricity, the continuous supply of affordable food and especially bread, fuel policies, and the security situation in the district, cantons, and Region. The political mechanism of coordination and cooperation between the different DAA’s institutions on the one hand, and coordination between institutions and local communes on the other hand were also discussed.

Co-chair of the Zalin (Qamishli) Canton Afram Ishaq, who was also present, stated that these meetings will continue on all important subjects for citizens and institutions in his district. They are the result of a joint program between the Executive Council and the Zalin Canton to closely identify and list problems of citizens and institutions and how to find direct solutions to them.
