SYRIA: Russian air strike on Turkish-backed faction in Edleb kills dozens of fighters

EDLEB, Syria — Over 100 members of Turkish-backed Faylaq al-Sham were estimated to have been killed and dozens more wounded in a Russian air strike on the group’s headquarters yesterday in the Jabal Dwaela area of Harem, northwest of Idlib city close to the Turkish border.

Images released of the strike show what looks to be a graduation ceremony for newly trained fighters.

In response, the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), of which Faylaq al-Sham is a part, launched perhaps the most ferocious artillery bombardment on Syrian regime positions since a ceasefire went into effect early in the year.
