North and East Syria Deputy Co-Chair of Energy and Communications Directorate: Electrical maintenance workshops completed their work in preparation for winter

ZALIN, Syria — In an interview with SuroyoTV, Deputy Co-Chair of the Energy and Communications Directorate of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) Raad Yousef pointed out that the increased number of electricity hours in all the cities and villages of the Gozarto (Jazira) Region is due to the improvement of water resources in dams, in addition to the usual decrease in using electricity during this period of the year.

In his comments, Yousef indicated that the electricity workshops of the Directorate have begun their periodic routine maintenance work before the onset of winter.

“Winter is harsh in our regions, with its winds, rains and even snow,” he said. “The maintenance work usually starts in late summer in preparation for any harsh winter conditions.”

“The maintenance workshops carried out several tasks, including inspecting all main lines that connect the electricity stations located in the vicinity of the cities with the main electricity supplies, such as dams and turbines,” Raad Yousef (Syriac Union Party) concluded.
