Gozarto Region of North and East Syria announce several new co-chairs at Legislative Council session

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On Sunday, the Legislative Council of Gozarto (Jazira) Region of North and East Syria held a session to select new co-chairs for the Social Affairs and Labor Authority and Economic and Agricultural Authority.

“The Legislative Council assigned Hindrin Ali as Co-Chair of Social Affairs Authority and Hadiya al-Ali as Co-Chair of Economy and Agriculture Authority in the Gozarto Region,” stated Co-Chair of the Executive Council of Gozarto Region Nazira Goreya.

Goreya’s counterpart, Co-Chair Hussein Azzam, announced his resignation during the session. He was awarded a memorial shield in honor of his efforts as Co-Chair over the past several years. A permanent replacement for Azzam will be determined at a future session.
