Co-Chair Gozarto Region Younus: As representatives of the people, we are obligated to meet will all the region’s peoples to improve services

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — During a press conference, SuroyoFM asked Co-Chair of the Executive Council of Gozarto (Jazira) Region in North and East Syria Tal’at Younus about the reason for the recent joint discussions between the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) and tribal leaders.

Younus responded by stating that the authority of the DAA stems from the will of the people and as such they are obligated to hold meetings and seminars with all the region’s peoples. Discussions with tribal elders is an import aspect of maintaining good relations and popular support for the DAA, and the getting opinions and proposals of tribal leaders is key for the development of administrative work and institutions in specific areas of North and East Syria, he said.

Younus also noted that DDA officials take into consideration all the criticisms and observations related to the work of the Administration’s institutions in order to develop their approach to better serve local communities.
