SYRIA: Turkish-backed infiltration attempt north of Tel Tamr repelled without casualties, say sources in Syriac Military Council
TEL TAMR, Syria — Sources in the ranks of the Syriac Military Council (MFS) confirmed to SyriacPress reports that an infiltration attempt by the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) was repelled north of Tel Tamr.
MFS personnel, stationed along the frontline north of Tel Tamr in predominately Syriac (Aramean-Assyrian-Chaldean) Khabur Valley, were involved in the fighting, which took place just north of Timar (Umm al-Kayf) village.
SNA forces reportedly tried to infiltrated Timar in the late afternoon through agricultural fields from the nearby villages of Rashidiye and Kasimiye. According to the source, members of the MFS detected the raiders and fired upon them. It is not clear if any of the raiders were killed or wounded. There were no casualties among the fighters of the Syriac Military Council.
