IRAQ: Six ISIS terrorists killed in Coalition airstrike in Kerkeslokh

KERKESLOKH, Iraq — On Sunday, the Iraqi Security Media Cell issued a statement announcing that aircraft of the U.S.-led International Coalition carried out an airstrike targeting a tunnel, killing six members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the Sarjawan area of Debs district in Kerkeslokh (Kirkuk) Province.

According to the statement, the operation also resulted in the complete destruction of the tunnel.

Since the beginning of 2020, ISIS attacks have increased, especially in the area between Kerkeslokh, Salah al-Din, and Diyala.

The Iraqi forces launch military operations from time to time to pursue the terrorist cells in various Iraqi provinces.
