Nordic Monitor: Turkish intelligence service MIT helped ISIS terrorists move freely inside the country
STOCKHOLM – Swedish investigative website Nordic Monitor has published secret documents in which it is revealed that Turkeys National Intelligence Organization (Milli Istihbarat Teskilati, MIT) provided ISIS terrorists with an 832-page official secret manual covering domestic security and map reading. The manual is an internal document of the law enforcement agency in charge of border security and was useful for the terrorists to evade detection in their movement inside Turkey and across the Syrian-Turkish border.
The manual was found on October 30th, 2015, on a hard drive in a Turkish house used by ISIS’s Turkish cell led by Ilham Bali. According to Nordic Monitor, Ilham Bali is known to be the mastermind behind several bomb attacks in Turkey and a MIT asset.
