NORTH IRAQ: Turkish bombing extended to Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian Kani Masi district

NOHADRA (DOHUK), Iraq – With its ongoing Turkish military campaign against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), Turkish shells have landed near the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian Kani Masi district in the Amadiya region, Nohadra (Duhok) Province, in the Kurdish Region of Iraq (KRI). According to sources to Roj News Agency, no casualties were reported.

Several days ago, Turkish warplanes bombed areas in the Amadiya area, the mountains of Metina and the Nahla area from military posts set up in the KRI. Since mid-June 2020, the Turkish forces have intensified air and artillery bombardments on many KRI border areas.
