Civilian killed after Syrian regime militia member throws grenade at Syrian police in Hasakah
HASAKAH, Syria — A member of the National Defense Forces (NDF) threw a grenade at the Criminal Security Patrol of the Syrian regime near Al-Hikma Hospital in Hasakah city as the security situation in regime territory continues to deteriorate.
The incident took place following an altercation between an NDF member and a lieutenant of the Criminal Security Patrol. While the patrol was trying to arrest the NDF member, he threw a grenade and fled.
“One citizen was killed and more than 20 others were wounded,” official of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) Health Directorate in Hasakah Issa Khalaf stated.
An eerie calm prevailed in area following the incident with surrounding roads and shops closed.
