Iraqi Interior Ministry announces arrest of 13 people wanted on terrorism and criminal charges

BAGHDAD — On Monday, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced the arrest of 13 individuals wanted by the judicial and security authorities on terrorism and criminal charges in Diyala and Wasit provinces.

“The provincial police carried out an arrest campaign against wanted persons in accordance with various terrorist and criminal cases,” Diyala police spokesman Brig. Gen. Nihad al-Mahdawi said.

In related context, and as part of its security operations, the Iraqi intelligence agency announced the arrest of a suspect accused of participating in a car bomb that killed more than 30 people more than four years ago.
