Syriac language development course concludes in Baghdad
BAGHDAD — As part of its efforts to develop the Syriac language and expand its reach globally, the Directorate General of Syriac Studies in Iraq concluded a development course for its members in Syriac held in cooperation with the Directorate General of Preparation, Training, and Educational Development from 11 to 13 January in Baghdad.
Twelve trainees participated in the course, in addition to General Manager Emad Salem Jajo, Deputy Director General Dr. Nidal Matti, Director of Supervision and Training Florence Behnam, and a number of employees of the Directorate.
At the end of the course, Jajo gave a speech in which he thanked all those who contributed to the implementation of the course and praised the commitment of the attendees to complete it. He also thanked the Directorate General for Preparation, Training, and Educational Development for their efforts.
The course was supervised by Florence Behnam with lectures given by Ramzi Kamlil, head of the Directorate’s Information Division.
