Syriac Security Forces dismantle mine planted on agricultural land in Tel Tamr countryside in North and East Syria

TEL TAMR, Syria — A resident of Hamra village in the countryside of Tel Tamr in the Khabur River Valley of North and East Syria informed the Sutoro (Syriac Security Forces) that he discovered a foreign object on his land. A Sutoro patrol immediately rushed to the location and found that an improvised explosive device was planted in the area. Specialized units were able to dismantle the IED safely.

The Sutoro called on all residents to take caution when seeing such foreign objects and alert children not to touch them. Should such objects be found, they should inform the authorities immediately.

This is not the first time that the Sutoro has dismantled unexploded ordnance, mines, or IEDs left in the villages around Tel Tamr.
