Beth Nahrin National Council thanks its members and supporters for continued determination in struggle for social and political rights in the homeland

The Presidential Board of the Beth Nahrin National Council (Mawthbo Umthonoyo d-Beth Nahrin, MUB) issued a public statement highlighting the importance of the organization’s yearly fundraising campaign. The funds raised during the end of year collection, which begins in October and runs for several months, contributes significantly to the implementation of MUB’s social, political, and military activities.

During 2020 fundraising campaign which launched in November, delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, thousands of families in Europe, the United States, Australia, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq have contributed what they could.

“Every activist who works under the roof of our liberation struggle contributes to give hope and dignity to our people, while the heroism of our martyrs who gave their lives for the future of our people has illuminated the path that we should follow,” read the statement. “Our national struggle, despite the current difficult circumstances, has proved, as ever, that it will not be placated and will not compromise until the rights of our people are assured.”

On this basis, said the statement, it is important that our national path continues and continues to grow and strengthen.

The statement continued:

“The national, social, and libertarian struggle undoubtedly requires sacrifice and redemption. In order to support this struggle, the support of our people is always needed. Therefore, tens, even hundreds of thousands of families, and millions of our people, can become a powerful force if everyone is committed to fulfilling their duty and fulfilling their responsibility.”

At the end of its statement, the MUB called on all Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people to continue to provide material and moral support to the liberation struggle to ensure a positive future for Syriac children in their homeland characterized by freedom and dignity.

The MUB thanked all members of the Council and the Syriac community for the support they continue to provide.
