IRAQ: Nineveh Plains Forces commemorates fifth anniversary of martyrdom of fighter Fawaz Abd al-Salam Saeed

NINEVEH PLAINS, Iraq – The Nineveh Plains Forces (NPF) released a statement commemorating the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of NPF fighter Fawaz Abdul al-Salam Saeed.

“On this painful day, we commemorate the fifth anniversary of the heroic martyr Fawaz Abd al-Salam Saeed who was martyred on the frontline during operations around Telskuf against the Islamic State (ISIS),” read the statement. “He passed away in Nohadra (Duhok) Hospital.”

The NPF pledged to follow the path laid out by their martyrs until the full national rights of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people are secured and retribution against the Islamic State is achieved.

Martyr Fawaz was born in 1985 in the village of Merki in the Bashiqa sub-district in the Nineveh Plains in northern Iraq.
