Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II meets with Swedish Chargé d’Affaires in Syria
DARAMSUQ — Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, received Her Excellency, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy in Syria, Ann Dismorr, at the Patriarchate headquarters in Bab Touma in the Syrian capital of Daramsuq (Damascus).
The meeting was attended by the Patriarchal Secretary and Director of the Media Department, Father Joseph Bali.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current situation in the Middle East in general and Syria in particular.
They also discussed ways to develop joint relations between the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Swedish Embassy and cooperation in providing humanitarian aid to the needy, especially children.
