Syriac Cross assesses food basket program and plans for future distribution
HASAKAH, Syria — In cooperation with Samaritan Purse, non-profit Syriac Cross for Relief and Development conducted an assessment of the families who received assistance in 2020 in the Tel Hajar and Kalasa neighborhoods of Hasakah city, as well as in the villages of Tel Hafian, Rakba, and Tel Tala’a, in the Tel Tamr countryside.
An evaluation was also carried out for in Hasakah’s Kababa neighborhood where an assistance campaign to deliver basic household and food items will soon take place.
More than 200 families who have previously received assistance have been assessed for the relief project in the coming months.
The purpose of this assessment was to measure the impact of the food baskets distributed during 2020 and collect proposals from the recipient families that could be used to make the food basket more suited to their needs.
