Syriac Military Council of North and East Syria repels infiltration attempt by Turkish-backed forces north of Tel Tamr
TEL TAMR, Syria — Within the framework of its heroics in defending the regions of North and East Syria in general and the Syriac (Aramean-Assyrian-Chaldean) villages in particular from the violations of the Turkish occupation and its proxies,
The Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulḥoyo Suryoyo, MFS) on Friday responded to an attempt by the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) to infiltrate into villages in the northern Tel Tamr countryside.
The SNA elements attempted to advance from the Turkish-occupied village of Rihaniya.
After the MFS thwarted the infiltration and forced the SNA fighters to retreat, a landmine exploded killing four of them.
Following that incident, the Turkish occupation forces launched an intense bombardment with heavy artillery on the area.
The Russian forces stationed in the region stayed in their base during and after the incident Turkish-backed attacks.
