International Coalition spokesperson: Mission of Coalition and Syrian Democratic Forces partners has not changed and will continue
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In a statement posted to the official Twitter of the U.S.-led International Coalition, Coalition spokesperson Col. Wayne Marotto said that, “The International Coalition is working with and alongside the [Syrian Democratic Forces] to defeat ISIS,” stressing that that the mission has not changed, and they will continue work and support the SDF.
In the tweet, Col. Marotto explained that Coalition forces are conducting security patrols in the area to maintain safety, in addition to strengthening their bases and supplying convoys. He also pointed out that the size of the Coalition deployment to North and East Syria has not changed.

Recently, joint SDF–Coalition raids resulted in the arrests of two members of an Islamic State cell responsible for carrying out assassinations of civil and security figures in the Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor) area.
Raid was carried out early Sunday morning in the town of Shehail in the eastern countryside of Dayro Zcuro.
