Thirty ISIS suspects arrested in Hasakah by the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria
HASAKAH, Syria — As part of their continuous operations in pursuing cells of the Islamic State (ISIS), and enhancing security in the region, the Internal Security Forces (ISF) of North and East Syria arrested a group of ISIS elements during a sweeping operation in Hasakah city.
According to the ISF Media Center, 30 suspected ISIS members were arrested. In addition, large quantities of weapons and ammunition were seized in their possession.
The ISF Media Center statement indicated that those arrested are suspected of having carried out attacks targeting unarmed civilians.
The ISF launched a number of counter-terrorism operations after increased ISIS activity in Hasakah and its countryside.
