New market complex opened in Syriac town of Baghdede in Nineveh Plains region of Iraq
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — In the presence of representative of Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Khalida Khalil Rasho, a representative of the Director of the Department of Social Protection, the Director of Baghdede Municipality, the Syriac Mayor of Al-Hamdaniya District Issam Behnam, and several other officials, a new market complex was opened in the Al-Hamdaniya District Center in Nineveh Plains in Iraq.
The complex includes 132 stores, each with a space of roughly 15 square meters.
The project aims to improve the local economy by providing job opportunities for the unemployed who will be given the opportunity to rent one of the retail spaces at reduced cost.
A specific work mechanism previously set by the Labor and Social Affairs Ministry will be adopted in coordination with the local administration of Al-Hamdaniya district. The work mechanism will also be followed up by Al-Hamdaniya Municipality Directorate.
