People’s Clinics Center officially opened in North and East Syria

ZALIN, Syria — In a statement to SyriacPress, neurosurgery specialist and Medical Director of People’s Clinics Center Dr. Feras Tishi announced the opening of the center on 28 March by the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria in the city of Zalin (Qamishli).

“The building consists of two floors and contains nine clinics with general practitioners, a dental clinic, a laboratory equipped with chemical and hormonal devices, x-ray machine, and an Ultrasound Scans Device (sonogram),” he added.

Within the center, there is also a pharmacy and an “ambulance room” for less severe emergency cases. The clinics of pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedics, internist, neurosurgery, and urology will be open daily, while the digestive, thoracic, dermatology, glands, and blood clinics will be open two days a week.

A doctor from the ambulance section, Dr. Shuruq Omar, pointed out that People’s Clinics Center was opened in North and East Syria to serve the people and ease their burden.

“The fees will be low even for medicines,” she added, confirming that only critical cases will be transferred outside the center.

The Administrative Director of the People’s Clinics Center, Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, emphasized that the clinics were opened to serve all the people without exception, especially after the harsh living conditions they are facing.
