Beth Nahrain Organization for Women and Beth Nahrain Youth distribute colored eggs in Baghdede to celebrate Easter
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — The Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW) and Beth Nahrain Youth distributed colored eggs to worshipers present at the Divine Mass at the Church of Tahera in Baghdede (Qaraqosh) in Nineveh Plains in Iraq in celebration of the Easter holiday.
“The coloring of eggs on Easter has many meanings,” read a statement released by BNOW,” and this tradition has moved through history to be a symbol and a sign of Christ risen from the dead.”
