Pope Francis calls for end of wars in Syria, Yemen, and Libya

VATICAN — In his Easter address in the Vatican on Saturday, His Holiness Pope Francis called on the international community to put an end to the conflicts in Syria, Yemen, and Libya.

“There are still too many wars and too much violence in the world,” said the Pope.

The Pope also pointed out that 4 April is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, weapons which the Pope described as horrific.
